Mujaji is one of the oldest dragon boat racing clubs in South Africa. Starting as an enthusiastic Safmarine corporate team in the 2nd Cape Town International in 1996, the paddlers formed the Safdragons club in 1998. This name was changed to Mujaji in September 2003 after the rain goddess who reputedly lives on Cape Town's famous Table Mountain.

Based at Cape Town's V & A Waterfront - one of the most beautiful paddling venues in the world - Mujaji is a team with a big heart and loads of personality. Teams members have participated in World Championship events and Internationals in Nottingham, UK; Rome, Italy; Bejing, Hangzhou and Xaimen, China; and the Club Crew World Championship in Cape Town.

This is the team to join if you want to train hard and have fun doing it. Training sessions are planned to improve endurance, strength, paddling and racing technique, teamwork and of course, speed.

Mujaji Dragon Boat Club is a member of the Western Cape Dragon Boat Association (WCDBA)
and affiliated to the South African Dragon Boat Association (SADBA).

Paddle with Mujaji all year round   Tuesdays and Thursdays at 17.45,   Saturdays at 07.45
